Our New Website, Unveiled!

Clinardance is proud to announce the launch of our new redesigned website! The new site will make it easier for students and friends to keep up with all our activities and events, including the new fall classes and upcoming performances. The new site design is also mobile-friendly, so schedules and registration will always be available on your phones and tablets!

The site redesign was prompted by some new trends in the industry, mostly concerning the way search engines like Google and Bing choose which sites to feature in response to a search. Our earlier website wasn’t mobile-friendly, which caused it to be ranked far down in a search list. To continue spreading the word about our studio and work, we had to keep up with the changing technology!

Of course, the priority at Clinardance is our artistic mission. Taking time off from dance in order to learn all about website design was not the best way to make the changes our site needed. Thanks to a generous grant from Arts Work Fund, we were able to partner with Sandstorm Design to map and build the new responsive website. Based in Chicago, Sandstorm is a leader in digital marketing, UX design, and internet usability for nonprofit and arts organizations. They understand our mission and focus, and made the transition easy and fun.

Special thanks goes out to our 2014 summer intern Anna Marquez, who provided research and writing support on the Arts Work Fund grant. Anna is studying at Knox College in Galesburg, IL, and spent last summer with Clinard Dance working on publicity and our grant writing projects.
